Visit the scenic waterfront on your own, browsing shops on Government Street, taking in the Chinatown district, and strolling along the Inner Harbor. Travel to the city of Victoria, where a guide will give you a short introduction to the historic downtown. Explore the 55-acre (22-hectare) gardens, where you’ll find winding paths through classic English gardens, Japanese gardens, a formal Italian garden, and Butchart’s aromatic rose garden. Disembark at Swartz Bay, and continue to Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada. Enjoy views of the Strait of Georgia, the Salish Sea, and the Gulf Islands during the ferry ride to Vancouver Island. Begin with pickup at your accommodations in downtown Vancouver or Richmond, and then travel to the BC Ferries terminal.
